The goal of our research is to design the Chinese Communicative Education Model based on the New Foreign Language Teaching which develops Integrated Communicative Competences. For this purpose, we research the present condition of Chinese Communicative Education and deliberate about the eective course design for enhancing Chinese speaking skills of Japanese students.Main Research Activities: 1 ) analysis the present condition on Chinese Communicative Education 2 ) course design and practical research of Chinese Communicative Education etc.ResearchAreasHumanitiesKeyword■Linguistic prociency■Intercultural Communicative Competence■Chinese Communicative Education■Analysis of the present condition on Chinese Communicative EducationRelatedresearchSDGThe Design of Chinese Communicative Education Model based on the Foreign Language Teaching in New EraProfessorMikiko MoriyamaCenter / Research Institute, etc.International Education Center World Languages SectionThis research project investigates the use of spaces to separate Korean words, in particular how Japanese students learning Korean use spaces, the errors they make, and methods of instruction for proper use of spaces.ResearchAreasHumanitiesKeyword■Korean education■Korean orthography■Korean notation■separating words in Korean□FluencyRelatedresearchSDGBuilding a foundation for improvement of the Korean language skillsJunior Associate ProfessorKim MinsooCenter / Research Institute, etc.International Education Center World Languages SectionCenter / Research Institute, etc.IT Education CenterThe latest near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) technology could detect not only the NIRS signals which are the time course of relative concentration changes in oxygenated, deoxidized and their total hemoglobin associated with the hemodynamic responses, but also low-sensitivity pulse waves of oxygenated and total hemoglobin. The pulse wave of total hemoglobin has been claried to be associated with cerebral blood ow. However, pulse wave derived from deoxidized hemoglobin has not yet been observed because of even lower sensitivity. This study examines how to improve the detection sensitivity of pulse wave derived from deoxidized hemoglobin. In addition, we will investigate the relationship between pulse waves derived from oxidized and deoxidized hemoglobin by changing the physiological state such as oxygen concentration. Furthermore, based on the obtained findings, we propose a new quantitative index of brain tissue oxygen saturation based on the intensity ratio of pulse waves of oxidized and deoxidized hemoglobin.ResearchAreasComplex systemsKeyword■Near-infrared spectroscopy■Pulse wave■Apparent arterial oxygen saturation■Brain function measuremenRelatedresearchSDGDevelopment of a simple measurement method of brain tissue oxygen saturationAssociate ProfessorDaisaku Kurita137
