Automatic controls are used in many elds, including autonomous driving of cars and home appliances. Many controlled objects have nonlinearity, but due to the ease of design, linear control methods are often used and the control performance might not be good. Conventional nonlinear control methods are difficult for field engineers to design the control systems and the applicable control objects are limited. This research develops an easy to design intelligent control system with a wide range of nonlinear control objects and advanced control performance, such as reduction of environmental load and energy saving.ResearchAreasInformaticsKeyword■Nonlinear control■Nonlinear system■Intelligent control■Piecewise system■Stability analysisRelatedresearchSDGDevelopment of intelligent controls with a wide range of nonlinear control objects and advanced control performanceAssociate ProfessorTadanari TaniguchiCenter / Research Institute, etc.IT Education CenterThe research theme is to examine how information system aect people and society. By clarifying people's consciousness about various problem in the information society, I will consider what kind of attitudes and information literacy are required to live in the information society. And I am thinking about how information and communications technology education can contribute to acquiring them. I hold programming classes for elementary school students and parents to deepen the research and return the research results to the community.ResearchAreasComplex systemsKeyword□Information society□Information ethics■Information and communications technology educationRelatedresearchSDGConsideration of problems in the information societyAssociate ProfessorYukiko MaruyamaCenter / Research Institute, etc.IT Education CenterCenter / Research Institute, etc.Professional Licensing Training Center Research Oce for Teaching ProfessionI think that raising awareness about human rights and democracy through education is critical. Therefore, using a historical approach, I have explored the characteristics of citizenship education in schools. Then, I focused on the history of the school curriculum in the United States, where democratic education has been created and traditionally practiced. My study focuses on the period between the late 19th century and the 20th century in the United States. I believe that the historical approach is critical in revealing the struggles and controversial issues regarding education for democratic citizens.ResearchAreasSocial sciencesKeyword■Citizenship Education■Curriculum Studies■History of Education■Social Studies Education■Civic EducationRelatedresearchSDGHistorical Research on the School Curriculum of Citizenship EducationJunior Associate ProfessorJinichiro Saito138
