The sports counseling, which is a psychological support for athletes, places importance on the athlete's "physical acquired as a subjective experience". The athlete's athletic experience as told to the counselor becomes a unique and specific narrative. It is generated based on the relationship between the counselor and the athlete. By analyzing the narrative from various perspectives, I would like to clarify the mechanism of the athletes' unique internal transformation (individuation process).ResearchAreasComplex systemsKeywords■Sport Psychology■Psychological support■Body-mind unityRelatedresearchSDGAthletes' physical experience and individuation processAssociate ProfessorDaisuke TakedaUndergraduate School of Physical EducationDepartment of Physical RecreationIn the course of study for my research, I became particularly interested in rhythm dance. Learning to dance aims to improve not only physical skills but also physical expression and communication. However, in many instances, teachers emphasize routine steps in classes. As such, a gap exists between the goals of learning dance and actual classes. My objective is to highlight the signicance of dance education in school, especially rhythm dance, by shedding light on its characteristic movements and study contents.ResearchAreasComplex systemsKeywords■Dance■Dance educationRelatedresearchSDGDevelopment of a instructional model for Rhythm dance not relying on choreographyJunior Associate ProfessorItsuka TamakiUndergraduate School of Physical EducationDepartment of Physical RecreationWorkers in their 20s, 30s, and 40s—the prime of working life—are particularly unlikely to engage in sucient exercise, and are assumed to have low awareness of their own bodies and health. A program was implemented in which workers visualized their own physical condition through measurement and received simple advice based on the results. The study investigated whether there was a change in the participants’ awareness of their bodies and health as a result of the program, as well as the eects brought about by visualization through measurement.ResearchAreasComplex systemsKeywords■Physical activity■Health■Program■Development■MeasuremenRelatedresearchSDGEective Methods for Promoting Exercise Behavior among WorkersProfessorYumiko HagiUndergraduate School of Physical EducationDepartment of Sport & Leisure Management“In psychological support for athletes, projective techniques are useful.
