The University Festival is a combined campus festival and cultural celebration that focuses on students, held on or around November 1* each year to commemorate the founding of Tokai University. The Festival is an opportunity to showcase the myriad achievements at Tokai University campuses throughout Japan, including tuition and research work as well as student clubs and societies.

Shonan campus has the largest University Festival, normally held on November 3, which regularly attracts crowds of around 100,000. The Festival is a major event on the campus calendar, involving some 300 different attractions including research presentations, exhibitions, stage shows and a variety of food stalls.
University Festivals differ from campus to campus, reflecting the nature of the campus and its location. At Aso campus, for instance, students from the School of Agriculture sell farm produce and processed products that are produced as part of their course work. Sapporo campus, meanwhile, is famed for the legendary Yosakoi Soran performance.
