Tokai University's policy regarding the protection of online privacy

Tokai University is taking the following necessary measures in order to ensure the protection of personal information to those who have accessed its website.

Gathering of personal information

In order to serve its user’s needs effectively, Tokai University collects information that is necessary from those who access the University website. The scope of personal information collected will not go beyond that which is necessary in order to achieve the needs of the collection. We will only acquire personal information through legitimate and ethical means. Tokai University may preserve or process personally identifiable information in order to improve the quality of our services or educational objectives. Further, at times, users may be contacted based on that information. Further, the information collected may be incorporated into Tokai University’s database for that same objective.

In some cases, information may be delivered to users who have given permission to do so, from Tokai University or its entrusted external organizations. In the event that the user does not desire the delivery of that information, transmission will be stopped upon receipt of notification.

Presentation of personal information to third parties

With the exception of use for the attainment of purposes of collection or for the sharing to entrusted external parties for the attainment of collection objectives, personal information will not be provided to third parties.

  2. If it is necessary for the protection of the property of University faculty, students of all ages, or our users.

Disclosure, correction or deletion of personal information

When we are requested by the user to disclose their personal information, we will disclose such information as soon as practicable. In the event that this disclosure will obstruct the rights of a third party, or in the event that the disclosure will obstruct the operations of Tokai University, we will not comply.

When we are requested by the user to correct or delete their personal information, we will comply without delay.

Revision of the Privacy Policy

Tokai University may revise this Privacy Policy in accordance with changes to relevant laws or regulations.

Governing law

Japanese law governs the terms of this Privacy Policy. The Tokyo District Court shall be the exclusive agreement jurisdictional court of the first instance in the event of any complaints that arise regarding the terms of use of this website.
