    I currently research the effectiveness of teacher training methodologies such as lesson study (授業研究)and how the employment of social constructivist methodologies can enhance both learner and teacher autonomy. I am also involved in the investigation of psychometric methods of measuring learner autonomy, especially through the use of notionally related constructs such as locus of control.

    I look very much forward to having an opportunity to share in the excitement of language learning and intercultural exploration at Tokai University with you. I've studied Chinese and Japanese, and enjoy studying other languages as well. I am interested in helping students gain meaningful and enjoyable opportunities for input and output in English through activities such as extensive reading (多読), movies, music, conversation and games.
