Rugby Club Finishes in Top 4 at All‑Japan University Rugby Championship

On January 2, the Tokai University Rugby Club played against Meiji University in a semi-final match at the All‑Japan University Rugby Championship. After a 10-29 loss, the team ended the tournament in the top four.

School of Physical Education Professor and team coach Hideyuki Kimura reflected on the experience: "We were meticulous in our preparations for this game, but facing pressure from Meiji, we were not able to play the way we wanted to. Results are everything, and our opponents surpassed us from the preparation stage onward." The team captain commented, "They broke down the depth of our line and the timing of our passes. We started making small mistakes, and ended up having to play catch up. I will tell the underclassmen on our team to take this experience forward and put in even more effort from the practice stage."
