東海大学政治経済学部政治学科では、国立台湾大学よりレヴ・ナフマン助教（Dr. Lev Nachman）をお迎えし、特別講演会（ブックトーク）を開催いたします。
ナフマン博士は、2025年にワシントン大学出版より刊行された著書Contested Taiwan: Sovereignty, Social Movements, and Party Formationにおいて、「争点のある国家（Contested States）」という新たな視点から台湾政治を分析されています。 2014年のひまわり学生運動以降の台湾における、アイデンティティ、主権、そして政党形成のダイナミズムについて、ウクライナとの比較なども交えながら議論します。
事前の参加登録は不要です。学生・教職員、一般の方を含め、どなたでもご参加いただけます 。皆様のご来場をお待ちしております。

[Event] Special Lecture / Book Talk: “Contested Taiwan” by Dr. Lev Nachman
The Department of Political Science at Tokai University is pleased to host Dr. Lev Nachman, Assistant Professor at National Taiwan University, for a special book talk based on his latest work, “Contested Taiwan: Sovereignty, Social Movements, and Party Formation” (University of Washington Press, 2025).
In this talk, Dr. Nachman will explore the dynamism of sovereignty and party formation from the perspective of “Contested States”. Drawing from extensive interviews and comparative analysis, he discusses how existential threats and questions of identity drive social movements into formal political arenas in places like Taiwan.
This event is open to everyone. No prior registration is required.
